Celtic Teachers Ltd. Modern Slavery Statement

As the ethical supply pool, our aim is to provide an excellent service to our colleagues in schools and to look after the welfare and professional development of the supply staff registered with us.

This statement is made pursuant to s.54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Celtic Teachers Ltd. has taken, and is continuing to take, to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.

Celtic Teachers has a zero tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and have transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within the business or our supply chain.

Our Business

Celtic Teachers Ltd. acts with integrity in the provision of Supply Teachers and Teaching Assistants across South Wales. Celtic Teachers has one central office based in Bridgend led by two Educational professionals and a Compliance Co-ordinator.

Our High-Risk Areas

Celtic Teachers Ltd. considers its exposure to slavery and human trafficking to be limited.  However, its main exposure to the risk of slavery and human trafficking lies with its professional service suppliers.  Celtic Teachers Ltd. expects all its suppliers to evidence their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our Suppliers

Celtic Teachers conducts due diligence on all suppliers before allowing them to become a supplier.  This due diligence includes an online search to ensure that the organisation has never been convicted of offences relating to modern slavery.  Celtic Teachers' anti-slavery policy forms part of its contract with all suppliers and they are required to confirm that no part of their business operations contradicts this policy.
